Another fun fact about this wedding was that they were the first ones to order a guest sign in book featuring their engagement photos! It turned out awesome and all of the guests had a fun time looking through it. Here are a few photos I took before I delivered it to Kaitlin. Check out the funky red cover, I love it!
Now, on to some of our favorites of the wedding day. The wedding wouldn't be complete without a few shots of the bride getting ready!
While I was taking photos of the girls getting ready, Gene'o was out taking pictures of the guys (who of course don't take as long to get ready!). One of the reasons we love being a male/female photographer team because although we shoot together most of the day, it's nice to be able to divide and conquer during certain moments. And there are some times when it's nice for our brides and their bridesmaids to have only a female photographer in the room :)
We headed over to the church for the ceremony. I love this shot Gene'o captured of the mother of the groom giving her son a thumbs up right before Kaitlin walked down the isle.
We couldn't use flash in this church (which many photographers will agree can be very difficult) and it was DARK, but we got some great shots of the ceremony.
Kaitlin had sang and pre-recorded a song to play for Paul as a surprise during the ceremony. This next photo was when he found out it was her singing! It was so sweet.
After the ceremony we all headed outside to blow bubbles as the couple exited the church. I love it when couples do this, the photos are always great!
After the ceremony we rushed back to the St. Paul hotel and got some portraits around the Rice Park area. We only had 20 minutes before they were supposed to make their grand entrance into the reception so we went fast!
I love this portrait of Kaitlin.
And this one of Paul.
A couple fun ones with their friends.
The beautiful flowers were created by Lexington Floral. They were stunning and held up really well throughout the day!
After dinner the couple shared their first dance to the song "True Companion" a classic and beautiful wedding song.
The father daughter dance was so sweet that I had tears in my eyes while I was trying to shoot this!
And the last photo is one of my faves, Kaitlin's parents dancing with Paul and Kaitlin in the background.
Yay, I'm so glad I was able to share these and update my terribly neglected blog! I have about 5-6 more weddings ready to blog soon. Woo hoo! I'm shooting the Feline Rescue Gala tonight and tomorrow we have another great wedding. Have a great weekend everybody!
