I have been unintentionally away from the blog for a few weeks, but that's because G & I have been busy with photo shoots! I'm finally caught up and have lots and lots of fun photos to share over the next few weeks.
But now, on to the subject of this post! Little Lucas was born in mid-April. Lucas is lucky because he has two awesome parents, my friends, Cassie & Towle! It's hard to believe I've known them for 10 years now. I went to grad school with Cassie so we spent many long hours working on projects together. She's a talented Landscape Architect. Towle is a lawyer AND very awesome filmmaker. He started his own company, Tallgrass Films. We'll be working with him this summer on a fun project for our web site so you'll be hearing more about him in the future.
I spent a morning (and I think part of an afternoon!) with them at the end of April when he was almost two weeks old. I had so much fun capturing a day in the life of a newborn! This entailed lots of sleeping, a little nursing, and just a little crying. But really, he was so good! He endured a change in routine so we could pose him and move him around to capture the best light for the photos. What a little trooper :)

He was so sweet. He gave these little smiles in his sleep when mom and dad rubbed his cheek.

Of course, the photos wouldn't be complete without a few shots of the family pets. Unfortunately, Pushkin the cat didn't grace us with his appearance so there are no photos of him. But Romeo (Bernese Mountain Dog) and Guinness the cat were happy to pose!
